Here is a summarized list of benefits bargained for workers of ULGA in the collective agreement:
- Sick leave: as a graduate worker (TA or NTA) you are entitled to 10 working days of sick leave. This means if you are too sick to work, you do not have to work. You are not required to make up those hours missed, you were sick!
- Family, parental, adoption, bereavement, and compassionate leaves.
- 75 parking permits set aside for those who do not “win the lottery.” We still encourage our members to participate in the parking lottery as the cost is the same, and the reserved passes are limited.
- Hours of work: A maximum of 112h per TA appointment.
