Dear ULGA Members,
We are thrilled to announce that our membership has officially ratified the tentative Collective Agreement negotiated between the ULGA (via GSA) and the University of Lethbridge. This is a significant achievement, and it would not have been possible without your active participation and support throughout this process. (Attached, you will find the official announcement from your Bargaining Team, which provides further details.) A special thank then goes to everyone who participated in the ratification vote held during the General Membership Meeting on January 16. After a round of line-to-line editing with the employer, the Collective Agreement was signed by both parties between February and March. The agreement is now available at this link.
Your votes were essential in determining the outcome of this agreement, and we are grateful for the strong turnout and engagement from our members, which reflects the strength and unity of our Union. We would also like to extend our gratitude to our dedicated Executive team, the GSA, and the Bargaining Team for their hard work and commitment throughout the negotiations. From completing the bargaining preparation survey to casting your vote in the ratification process, your involvement has been crucial in shaping this agreement. Thank you for making your voices heard and for standing together as a united graduate student community. This agreement is a testament to what we can achieve when we work together.
